Getting Back Into Traditional

I’ve been getting back into traditional art with the help of a few supplies that I really credit to my art journey. Most of these supplies are inexpensive but exceptionally fun to work with.

Illustration made with watercolor, alcohol markers, ballpoint pen, collage and stickers

Often times in my more thin-papered sketchbooks I like to sketch in ballpoint pen. It’s something my Dad taught me when I was first starting to take art seriously, so that I would spend less time erasing and more time putting lines on paper. I’ve always had an affinity for them ever since then and so I found that this style of lineart works really well with my style.

I now prefer to use ballpoint pens (especially of different colors to add contrast in the illustration) for a clean, thin lineart.
